Fluffy Friends!

This year as part of our classroom economy the students are able to earn tickets. With their tickets they can buy different coupons! One of the coupons the students can purchase is to bring a "fluffy friend" to our class. We had a few new students in our class today and I think they learned a lot!!

Weekly News!

August 27-31

Reading: This week we are reading Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary. We are working on reading skills and strategies. We are also learning the Daily 5 reader’s workshop process.

Writer’s Workshop: We are learning the writing process this week by interviewing a classmate and learning important things about them. We will do prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing!   

Math: We are working on Unit one this week in our Trailblazer’s math curriculum. We will work on sampling data and graphing this week.

Social Studies: This week we are leaning geography map skills! We will learn about latitude, longitude, and even go on a treasure hunt with Captain Mick!
