BIST Tip:
Protect and Teach~

The behavior intervention plan that we use here at Leawood is called BIST.  The goal of BIST is to protect both the child and his/her environment from their inappropriate behavior AND to teach the child how to change the misbehavior.  Protect, teach but not punish!
