BIST Tip:
Three reasons kids get in trouble and what they need from adults:
1.    They don’t know any better.  They need:  Information about home and school rules to understand why that behavior is wrong.
2.    They test limits.  They need:  Consistency in adult expectations, calm reactions and reliable consequences.
3.    They can’t manage their feelings.  They need:  Practice in identifying and expressing their feelings in a respectful way.
