Reading:
This week we are beginning our new Lead 21 reading series. Our theme is “Changes
Ahead” and we will be reading fiction and nonfiction texts. We will work on
determining important information when we read.
Writer’s Workshop: We are learning the writing process this
week by interviewing a classmate and learning important things about them. We
will do prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing!
Math:
We are finished with Unit 1 and beginning Unit 2 this week! We will be working
on Addition Fact Strategies and quickly recognizing sums of numbers.
Social Studies: This week we are leaning geography map skills! We
will learn about latitude, longitude, and even go on a treasure hunt with
Captain Mick!

Friday 9/7- Spelling Test
Red
Friday! Wear red for the Chiefs!
Math Facts This Week: Work on multiplication two’s.
