Weekly News

September 10-14

Reading: This week we are continuing our unit in LEAD 21 on Changes. The students are beginning an inquiry process and learning about determining important information. We are also learning about author’s purpose.

Writer’s Workshop: We are continuing to learn about the writing process this week. We are also generating questions for our Inquiry Project.

Math: We are working on subtraction fact strategies this week. We want to be able to subtract quickly and proficiently! We are also working on a game called “spinning differences”.

Science: This week we are jumping into matter! We will begin learning some basics such as physical and chemical changes.

Math Facts This Week: Work on multiplication five’s.
